Educational Resources

Online Resources: School teachers and community educators can visit a number of online sites offering tailored resources on Ruskin and associated material. Ruskin For All is a dedicated educational programme aimed at schools, community groups and interested members of the public at large. It offers a wide range of resources through the Ruskin Foundation. The Elements of Drawing, is an online version of Ruskin’s Oxford Teaching Collection. The Ruskin Journey website is currently under development and will provide audio-visual explorations of the European Tours which Ruskin undertook. A simple introduction to who Ruskin was can be found on the Brantwood site, along with details of his home.

Other Resources: The following four major collections of Ruskin material all run educational programmes and organise site visits: The Guild of St George Collection, Sheffield (a teaching collection created by Ruskin); The Ruskin Library (the world’s largest repository of Ruskin materials); the Ruskin Museum (both a teaching collection and Ruskin memorabilia) and Brantwood (Ruskin’s former home and estate).
